Day 1 - August 28th 2019
Today we're going to Wisconsin. It took an hour to pack our stuff. We took an uber to my mom's hous to get the car then we drove back to my dad's house to get my dog. So we went on the highway and on the way to Wisconsin we dropped my dog to a dog hotel. I don't think he liked that.
Then, after an hour on the highway we went to a McDonalds and then we drove for another two hours. We arrived to our hotel. It was a yellow hotel.
Day 2- August 29th 2019
First we went to Cave of Mounds. When we got there, we went to a lady that had us sort out a bag of sand that had different stones in it. We washed the sand in a small river and we were left with all crystals. She then explained to us what they were, how they were formed , etc.
Then we went into the Cave. We watched a short movie about this cave. It was formed 400 million years ago in the limestone. Limestone is sand + small things that lived in the ocean. Oh, a very long time ago, Wisconsin was at the bottome of a large ocean. The cave had many stalagtictes and stalagmites and they sometimes meet and form a column from the floor to the ceiling. It takes about 100 years for them to grow by one inch.
I asked many questions, and the guide answered them all. At one point, the guide turned the lights off so we can "see" how total darkness is. I had my eyes opened but it was completely dark. I said: Can we turn the lights back on now? Everybody laughed. Oh, and if you look at the pictures you might see a ghost. It is clearly marked.
Day 3 - August 30th 2019
We went to this place called The House on the rock. Because it was built on a rock. This was a very weird house. It belonged to an artist, I forgot his name. But he built it. This place was huge and it looked like some kind of Japanese construction, with waterfalls, bridges and the infinity room. Tati liked this house a lot.
Next are pictures from the House. All the pictures are from inside the house. There was a huge room with a huge whale that was fighting with a giant squid. The whale had a boat in its mouth too. Then there were the carrousels, and all the tall ships, and cars, and some creepy dolls. You'll see.
Creeepyyyy
Did I tell you this place was creeppy?
I think this was the Titanic when it hit the iceberg.
And so many other things in that house. Amazing.
And some videos, so you can see how amazing this house is. Remember, everything you see is inside.
Day 4 - August 31st 2019
The last day, we went to this farm from 1800. I learned how people used to live before electricity, what kind of work they did. That was hard work.
Then I went and took the eggs from the chicken from a barn.
I saw all kinds of farm animals and people that lived there. That lady was explaining how people were cooking in a different house during the summer so the main house would not get too hot. In the winter, they were moving the kitchen back and warm the house while cooking. Smart.
And then there was The Pig. I was trying to pet him, but he was too far away. Then he figured if he wanted to get petted he must come closer. And he did. Very funny pig.
This is me writing about my adventures on my blog.
